Maria Hurd may have just started her teaching career at East Texas A&M University in Fall 2024, but her passion for education spans over three decades. Since 1991, she has taught in a variety of settings, from leading group therapy activities and recreational programs to conducting aquatic therapy sessions. Maria also homeschooled her children and has served as a preceptor for students and new nurses. These experiences have fueled her deep love for teaching and her commitment to shaping the future of healthcare professionals.
