Dr. Bo Han’s Research Sheds Light on Crowdfunding

Dr. Bo Han and coauthors recently published a paper titled “Entrepreneurial crowdfunding backer motivations: a latent Dirichlet allocation approach” in the European Journal of Innovation Management. A text mining methodology was adopted to analyze nearly 100 crowdfunding projects on KickStarter.com. This study furthers the business community's understanding of motivations behind crowdfunding by empirically examining critical factors that influence the crowd’s decision to support a given project.
