TAMUC Providing Unique, Protected Technology Solutions Through Dell Partnership
Students, faculty and staff at Texas A&M University-Commerce can have peace of mind when searching for computers for school, thanks to a recent partnership with Dell Technologies.
The partnership provides the A&M-Commerce university community with significant discounts on certain Dell products. Most importantly, any product purchased through the program comes bundled with Dell's ProSupport Plus, the company's highest-tier warranty option.
With ProSupport Plus, users have access to 24/7 U.S.-based technical support, on-site repairs, accidental damage repair, virus and malware removal, and more. Each product will receive warranty coverage for three years.
Lindsey Ingram, strategic account manager with Dell, said that one of the biggest advantages of the program is the protection it gives, especially to students.
“We want to give students the peace of mind that they will be purchasing a product that will last through college,” Ingram said. “This partnership is a benefit that comes at no extra cost to the university community.”
In addition to the discount and warranty, some products available through the partnership also include a $100 Dell eGiftCard.
Products currently offered through the partnership include Inspiron 14 and XPS 13 laptops. Jeremy Gamez, chief information officer at A&M-Commerce, said the university plans to expand these offerings in the future.
“Our hope is that we can continue to grow this partnership to include more tailored solutions for individual needs, such as for our engineering and computer science programs,” Gamez said. “With all of the benefits that are passed on to the university, I wonder why we hadn't done this sooner.”
These special offers are available to students, faculty and staff of A&M-Commerce. To see a list of available solutions, visit dell.com/tamuc and click “View Recommended Solutions.”
